The New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players’ (NYGASP) productions are often considered in these pages. “The Modern Major Parody” is based on an earlier parody by Eliza Rubenstein, with additional timely lyrics by James Mills. Mills directed and editing is by Danny Bristoll. NYGASP Founding Artistic Director Albert Bergeret paces favorite NYGASP singers Mills, Amy Maude Helfer, David Macaluso, Cáitlín Burke, Matthew Wages, Sarah Caldwell Smith, David Auxier, Angela Christine Smith, and David Wannen, all practicing artistic and social distancing in their separate squares, in this cheerful endeavor.
